Akaa-Volley visited Sastamala to meet VaLePa and took the fourth win over the eight time Finnish Champion in this season. The match was quite a fight and gave a lot to see and feel for the audience of 1069. Finally Akaa-Volley was stronger by 2-3 (23-25,25-22,13-25,25-18,10-15) and is continuing on the top of the league: https://www.mestaruusliiga.fi/miehet/sarjataulukot.html
Akaa-Volley players managed all very well: Sakari Mäkinen 21/+10, Niklas Seppänen 15/+5, Petteri Tyynismaa 14/+10, Matias Tihumäki 10/+7, Aaro Paananen 7/+3 and the setter Ilja Ivanov 5/-. The libero Joel Andersson made nice work in defence, but this time his duties in reception were not so needed while VaLePa served mainly to Mäkinen and Seppänen.
As you find from above, Jaylen Jasper was not playing in Sastamala. He had some symptoms of a flu and rested at home. Akaa-Volley is playing against Savo Volley in the semifinal of Finnish Cup on the 2nd Jan and it would be important to have all players in the field in their best condition.
