Akaa-Volley took a clear win of Vantaa Ducks. The result was 3 – 0 (25-20,25-18,25-22). Quite a relief among Akaa-Volley’s fans was to notice the middle blocker Petteri Tyynismaa on the court again. Tyynismaa had an injury in his hipbone a couple of months ago. He really is in good shape: he got seven passes and made six points out of them. We have some interesting weeks and months ahead: three powerful middle blockers…
In the first set Pozo Hernandez was The King. After his five aces Ducks was not able to fight for the win in the set anymore. The second set was quite similar to first one. Ducks was not giving a single point easily because their defence was so efficient. Finally, Akaa-Volley’s routine was better and it made less mistakes.
Tyynismaa was not playing in the third set but Antti Taponen took his position in the middle of the net. Akaa-Volley took a couple of points lead straight in the beginning and kept that throughout the set. Matěj Šmídl had an hounour to make the last point of the match – a nice attack just in the corner of Duck’s court.
Akaa-Volley’s next match will be already on next Wednesday. Hurrikaani-Loimaa will visit Akaa Areena.
Once again: Matěj made the last point of the match.
