Akaa-Volley won the first semifinal.

Akaa-Volley and Kokkolan Tiikerit played the first semifinal match in Akaa Aeena today. The home team was clearly the better of the two by 3-0 (25-18,25-18,25-16).

Tiikerit could follow quite equally all the way till around ten points in each set. But from that onward Akaa-Volley's better routine was too much far the visitors.

Some statistics: Jasper 15/+10, Pozo Hernandez 14/+8, Seppänen 11/+9, Tyynismaa 7/+5, Taponen 7/+5, Ivanov 8/+4 and the libero Andersson 22 receptions with 64 % accuracy. Its rather difficult to win a team with 8 aces, 56% reception, 61% attacks and 10 blocks in three sets!

It needs four wins to get into the finals. Thus we need three more. The next two matches will be played in Kokkola (on Thursday and Friday this week) and the fourth one in Akaa Areena on Monday next week. Let us hope there will be no need to continue from that ; )

The playoffs require some extra make up as well!
