Päivitetty: 15. lokak. 2023

On Friday evening, Akaa-Volley won Kareilan Hurmos 1 – 3 (20-25,25-19,16-25,22-25) in Joensuu and brought the full three points in its column. Sebastian Pozo Hernandez was regarded as the best player in Akaa’s team. The outside spiker was excellent in defence and he attacted reliable as well.

On Saturday, Akaa-Volley visited Kuopio which is one of the home towns for Savo Volley. Savo is an interesting team in Finnish league because it is playing in several towns in Eastern Finland. It is one of the favorites having three medals within its six year presence in the league. The match was really tight but finally Akaa-Volley took the win with 2 – 3 (25-17,17-25,21-25,25-15,16-18) agnd got two important points in the league table.

Next week, Akaa-Volley will meet Raision Loimu on Wednesday and Karelian Hurmos on Sunday in our home arena called Akaa Areena. We hope the team will continue improving its performance – on Wednesday the 25th October Akaa-Volley will meet Merkur Marbior in Slovenia. This is the first round of CEV Challenge Cup 2024.

Olli Kunnari – one of the best players in the Finnish wolleyball history and today, a professional coach – is leading our team.
